Creating portraits made from recycled aluminum cans is where I love to hang my artistic hat. I created the technique by accident. I wanted to create an interesting replica of a famous work of art for a community art project and wanted to creatively recreate the artwork to make it my own. With trial and error, I found how to best manipulate the aluminum cans. Every aspect of it is an artform. I love the challenge of finding the right color cans to best replicate my minds perspective.

I draw my inspiration from moments in time I experience. For instance I went on a walk and came across a turtle at Wolf Lake. Our eyes connected, we shared a moment. I snapped a picture of it. I than use that picture as reference to recreate the moment made out of cut up aluminum cans. The moments are special and recreating them lets me share and remember the moment.

I would pay off some debt and live easier. Taking my kids on a real vacation has always been a dream of mine. That for sure would happen. TLC Animal Shelter in Homer Glen , Illinois would be getting a donation and Youth Home in Little Rock, Arkansas as well. They are organizations I dream of supporting on a larger scale one day and this could be my opportunity.
