Portraits and abstracts. I absolutely love how a portrait of either a person or animal literally comes to life in front of me. Abstracts on the other hand are so absolutely freeing and I can just follow where intuition leads me. I’ve never been satisfied with one subject or one medium, every time I sit down at my easel I’m always looking for something new to appear. Acrylic is my preferred medium at the moment, but I love mixed media, especially if it involves adding texture with glass or nature
Where do you find inspiration?Everywhere! Nature, music, people. Even a feeling can lead me to the easel. A quiet mind can find all sorts of things to paint, it’s a matter of listening to the silence to hear what it says.
What would you do with $25,000?Perhaps go on an extended art retreat! Or perhaps facilitate one of my own. I truly believe art is for everyone and all people should have affordable opportunities to experience the act of creating a work of art with their own hands. It’s what will heal the world.
