I photograph because moments fade quickly; through my lens I preserve them and capture emotions words cannot fully express.

I create photography that lives between reality and imagination. My work is deeply conceptual, rooted in emotion, identity, and displacement. In my series Unrooted, red fabric flows through each frame like a pulse symbolizing memory, loss, and the fragile thread that ties us to where we come from.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in silence, in untold stories, and in the invisible weight people carry. Migration, memory, and emotional tension shape my vision. Quebec City, with its layered history and quiet beauty, became a living backdrop for Unrooted where each image feels like a moment suspended between belonging and exile.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use it to expand Unrooted into a deeper, more immersive body of work—traveling, producing larger-scale images, and transforming it into a photo book and exhibition. This support would allow me to tell these stories with greater depth, reach wider audiences, and give a stronger voice to emotions that often remain unseen.
