I find myself seduced by the mysteries of life and death, forms in nature and the possibility of alternate realities.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I’m in love with creating blown glass sculptures using the flameworking technique. My goal is to push the boundaries of what’s possible to make in borosilicate glass. I want the glass to flow elegantly and to reimagine a world that only exists in my fantasies. I invite the viewers to immerse themselves in my creations.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in mythology, sci-fi and comic books. Alternate worlds that artists and people in history have created before me are so fantastic and powerful. The idea that we can imagine places and figures that exist beyond reality is so exciting because we are capable of expressing our power through art. I’m inspired to share these feelings of limitless possibilities with my viewers.
What would you do with $25,000?To be completely honest and vulnerable, if I received $25,000, I would pay my debt first! Being an artist has required me to take many risks and I have been in some close situations before. With my debt lifted, I will be able to allocate the remaining money towards my goals which include enhancing my studio. The extra money would also give me space to create next-level sculptures! I have dedicated my life to this and I would not spoil this award on any nonsense. Thank you so much for this.
