Creating art allows me to communicate in a language that has no boundaries, judgments, or hate. I rise everyday to pursue my art and to love

My favorite type of art is definitely painting and drawing, however, I also enjoy woodworking, welding, and experimenting with new materials! Within painting, I enjoy using oil paint primarily, along with acrylic and spray paint. I love the texture and depth these different paints give when applied on a surface. Currently I am working on a series that incorporates vanitas still lifes in contemporary culture and I have been drawn to painting glass, metal, human figures, flowers, and tattoos.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration everyday through music, books, social media, in art galleries, from my peers and from television. I am an avid reader who enjoys learning about art history and famous artists, so I use that knowledge to develop my compositions. I follow many women artists on social media who show their work processes, which always gives me ideas in how to improve my own work. I also find inspiration from my environment by drawing what I see daily, visiting art markets/galleries and writing.
What would you do with $25,000?As a college student who will be graduating at the end of this year, I know that it will be difficult to make art and survive in this economy so I would use that money towards buying painting supplies and paying off anything I owe to my University. I am interested in going into the tattoo industry after graduation and would even use some of that money towards tattoo supplies as well. I would put the rest in my savings for any emergencies and for when my current old car breaks down.
