My favorite type of art is definitely painting and drawing, however, I also enjoy woodworking, welding, and experimenting with new materials! Within painting, I enjoy using oil paint primarily, along with acrylic and spray paint. I love the texture and depth these different paints give when applied on a surface. Currently I am working on a series that incorporates vanitas still lifes in contemporary culture and I have been drawn to painting glass, metal, human figures, flowers, and tattoos.

I find inspiration everyday through music, books, social media, in art galleries, from my peers and from television. I am an avid reader who enjoys learning about art history and famous artists, so I use that knowledge to develop my compositions. I follow many women artists on social media who show their work processes, which always gives me ideas in how to improve my own work. I also find inspiration from my environment by drawing what I see daily, visiting art markets/galleries and writing.

As a college student who will be graduating at the end of this year, I know that it will be difficult to make art and survive in this economy so I would use that money towards buying painting supplies and paying off anything I owe to my University. I am interested in going into the tattoo industry after graduation and would even use some of that money towards tattoo supplies as well. I would put the rest in my savings for any emergencies and for when my current old car breaks down.
