I love to create art because it gives me the freedom of expression- an outlet to share my inner world and the words I cannot say.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I am a self taught artist- a Jack of all trades and master of none. I enjoy working with my hands and being really intricate and detailed orientated when it comes to art forms such as: clay, miniature, and paper crafts. I tend to dabble between fine line Ink work and painting in softer tones (depending on my mood), the most. Photography is also something I have had an eye for, a privilege really, to have gotten the opportunity to capture a moment in this lifetime.
Where do you find inspiration?I find the most inspiration in all walks of life- in the people I meet, the children I work with, the animals I encounter, and the wildlife in nature. Ive come to realize that all living beings are interconnected, traveling through our own journeys and adventures; sharing our stories and helping eachother along the way, has given me a profound appreciation of life and the human experience. To inspire others ( like those who have inspired me) before I expire- for we are all walking works of art.
What would you do with $25,000?If I’m going to be honest, the first thing I’d do is pay off my student debt, and hopefully buy some type of transportation to help get me to and from work. Although, my main goal in life is to open a non profit art studio. Growing up in Southeast Los Angeles, art within the neighborhood was the last thing on the funding list, thus, self expression was not encouraged. I hope to provide a safe and welcoming space for kids, teens, and adults to learn, venture, and share their own inner rich worlds
