I create as a means of conveying and capturing all that is expressive, translating organic emotions of people and things into visual form

My favorite type of art to create is expressive portraiture! I create expressionist work that captures the emotional pulse of living things. I study subtle gesture, shifting moods, and the energy beneath the surface of all that is alive; and translate that into a moment capture through artistic medium. My work is about more than likeness, its about encapsulating the moments in time when emotions are being expressed.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration through the expression of what is organic, as well as in how others feel emotionally. I expand on simple and complex emotions and how they are expressed in our faces, as well as gesture. Any kind of living matter can express, and I find human emotion to be one of the most fascinating aspects about our humanity. It can make us strong, build us up, keep us grounded, but also tell a story. Even in minimal words, the expressiveness of all that is living is my inspiration
What would you do with $25,000?I would pay for the remainder of my college education, as well as save to pursue my masters in Fine Arts (MFA) at Rutgers Mason Gross. My dream is to teach portraiture to others as a studio arts teacher at the college level.
