I love to create art because God blessed me with an incredible talent that I want to use to share His love with others. Evoking true emotion
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art to create is oil paintings. I favor creating realistic pieces that depict people in their day to day lives. I feel as though these works create such a deep and powerful moment through the canvas.
Where do you find inspiration?I find my inspiration from my faith, family, and the world around me. As an example, two years ago I gave birth to my son, it has been the most challenging but most honoring and remarkable time of my life. Now, I am starting a new series that will be titled ‘The Ways He Changed Me’ depicting how God got me through that season, how my faith deepened, and the indescribable feeling of being a parent with my husband, Isaac.
What would you do with $25,000?With $25,000 I would likely donate a portion to the local college art program where I learned to paint. I would purchase new paintbrushes, canvases and paints as I’m always needing more. Lastly, I would want to put a portion to paying off our home. My husband and I have been paying extra towards our house for the last year to be able to be dept free by the time we are 27! This would help immensely.
