I create art to heal, tell stories, and connect—turning movement and emotion into abstract expression that frees and unites others.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Being a performance artist, my favorite type of art to create is abstract bodies of work, where I combine the art of dance and abstract art onto a big roll of raw canvas using my body as a tool to create healing energy through my abstract lines
Where do you find inspiration?Being a dancer and an abstract painter, inspiration comes from all forms of dance performances such as the Alvin Ailey dance Company , to Philadanco dance company , to break dancers etc. My inspiration comes from poets , to Ted Talks even actors !. I believe conversations and stories are movement and movement is art which becomes a part of my abstract painting process .
What would you do with $25,000?As the owner of Infinite Storey Studio’s, created in honor of my late mother, Juanita Kathleen Storey Carter, I’ve built a space where people express their stories through movement and abstract art to heal deeply. With $25,000, I will expand this vision into a studio that serves a larger community—creating a safe, transformative space for growth, vulnerability, and creative expression.
