I love to do portraits of people from my friends to revolutionary figures who have been a form of inspiration for me when it comes to my political views and beliefs centralized on decolonization.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration through my community when speaking about the social, political, and class injustices we are facing today. Climate justice leaders like Vandana Shiva and political writers such as Arundhati Roy are examples of people I am inspired by in order to create around their activism.
What would you do with $25,000?I have been using my full-time job income to supplement my passion to create art while also utilizing a corner of my apartment as a studio. I'd love to use the $25,000 to acquire larger studio space and supplies; so I may continue to create despite the challenges of cost of living and rent.
