Creating art feels like creating a door for viewers to step in and catch a glimpse of the wondrous world in my mind. I see art everywhere.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I'm deeply inspired by emotion so I love to include a human body in most of my art as we have so many tiny muscles everywhere - specifically around the facial area - that depicts a certain expression and therefore an overall feeling. Having that said, I feel like as a viewer it is more easy to connect with my piece and understand what emotion I attempt to portray.
Where do you find inspiration?Mostly within but also in other people. I find that no matter what blessing or hardship comes our way, life is always beautiful. Being capable of feeling indicates we are alive and simply human. I like capturing moments that others can pause, reflect on and appreciate - as I notice when I look at crowds, that we're all the same and go through the same feelings.
What would you do with $25,000?My answer is very plain, I would simply like to invest the $25,000. I'm a young adult trying to figure life out with a part time job so it's rare to come by any large amount of money. I know wouldn't like to spend it until I feel ready and know what would be the wisest thing to spend it on.
