My favorite art to create involves characters from my original story, a sci-fi/fantasy combination that focuses on identity, culture, and adoption. I love using pen, mechanical pencil, watercolor, and mixed media, such as glitter, collage, and string.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration from my own experience as an adoptee, films from the ’80s and ’90s, especially animated films, and art styles inspired by James Baxter, Steven Spielberg, Don Bluth, Hayao Miyazaki, and many others.
What would you do with $25,000?I would send some to a charity, preferably a program that supports adopted and foster youth! I would also invest in purchasing better art supplies, equipment and studio space. Thank you so much for your support!
