From a child, I’ve always been fascinated with the beauty of art and creating beautiful things. I was an artist at Disney and very grateful

My favorite medium is watercolor. I grew up going to the beach every day in Southern California and that still is my favorite place that brings me so much peace. I love painting anything nautical. Also, while I was an artist in the film industry, I painted props and environments for Disney and other studios. I really enjoyed painting rust, grunge, and chipped paint and making things look old. I love textures. Recently, I’ve enjoyed painting, old Rusty cars. Painting people is always so fun too.
Where do you find inspiration?I find so much inspiration in nature. Whether I am going for a long hike or walking along the beach, seeing the beautiful flowers, the birds, and all the lovely colors, inspires me to create and gives me new ideas. People watching is always a favorite of mine as well and I live only five minutes from Disneyland. Sometimes I go to downtown Disney and just watch all the interesting people. You can come up with some pretty interesting characters just by people watching.
What would you do with $25,000?I have a nonprofit to help heal trauma and PTSD through the arts. I’m not very good at fundraising as I’m a creative person and not a sales person. It would be nice to be able to have some money so I can do some of my community outreach programs and teach them how healing it is to be creative.
