I like to create characters like green beans in pink and blue leotards, weenie people, skeletons with their dramas, to name a few… I am post apocalyptic. Anguish is one of the doorways where I meet my next painting. A lot of my art is funny and very uncomfortable, my characters come from other planets too. Humanoid species are here. I have inter-dimensional relationships with other species all the time! I am the lost and found. I love therefore I paint. I’m broken, busted and and yet so alive.
Where do you find inspiration?I am an overpopulated wormhole. Most of my artists are dead. I glean from hundreds and thousands of years, other galaxies. I am in love with Posada, David Bowie, old toys, Mel Brooks, Ralph Stedman, fairytales (dark and true), Kristina Rossetti‘s poem “the goblin market”, Victorian anything, bad taste, untamed nature, uncivilized wonder. I love bacteria. Germs – there is a welfare system for them.
What would you do with $25,000?Alas, I’ve become a walking middle finger, unemployable. I found a job doing dishes at the local barbecue joint. I want to quit doing dishes & make art full slam. $$= freedom to create.
