Connect What is your favorite type of art to create?

My favorite type of art is visual art. I paint and photography. To me, visual art is a silent language, powerful enough to hold visions, emotions and untold stories. For the past 20 years, I have been immigrating from one country to another, searching for safety and a place to call home. Through this journey, I learned that words aren’t always enough; sometimes, the deepest truths live in silence, and what matters most is finding the right way to let the heart speak and I found mine through art.

Where do you find inspiration?

I discovered my love for painting as a child. Life’s circumstances left little room for my talent to grow. After finding refuge in Canada, I returned to art in 2023, rekindling a passion that had long lived quietly within me. Still learning and evolving alongside other artists. Each of my paintings is deeply personal, a reflection of lived experience, quiet strength & the enduring power of hope.

What would you do with $25,000?

I am not a potential person, that feels strange to say in such a potential world. I applied not only to express my love for art, but also because this opportunity could truly change my life. If I were given the chance to win, I would gladly share part of it with my family and I would keep some to buy a home of my own, a place with my own studio & enough space to paint freely. I still live with my parents, who depend on me and my brother, and helping them would come from nothing but love.
