I create to express how I see the world. My photography can be confusing - same goes for life. I also make films to convey my visions.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite types of art are filmmaking and photography. Filmmaking allows me to express myself visually so that other people can (maybe) understand my thoughts. Photography allows me to capture moments, people, something weird I saw on the side of the road - anything really. It is captured forever on a screen or can be printed out and framed. Both mediums are visual, but I find films to evoke emotions a bit more than photographs.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in life and in my travels. Life is confusing, and my films and photography tend to be that way too. It’s one of those things where you need to do a double-take to make sure you’re seeing it right.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use this money to make more art. I would use it for funding future films, purchasing a new camera/new film equipment, and for submitting to film festivals.
