I am a licensed esthetician with a passion for makeup. The face is a canvas; makeup enhances features and expresses moods. I also love abstract and collage art, & often add mixed media to my drawings. I'm most familiar with sketching, but I've been exploring new mediums & styles. My abstract art is playful & soft, & it’s a form of therapy for me. I've submitted a mix of my art styles, focusing on makeup.
Where do you find inspiration?Nature & the human experiences I witness from all around inspire me endlessly. I am prone to “feel” sounds and colors; it moves me to create art using whatever medium I can get my hands on. My love for Jesus Christ gives me strength & inspiration every day, to choose beauty and hope through art.
What would you do with $25,000?A portion will be donated to charities such as Save The Children and the National Alliance on Mental Illness. I would also participate in my local community’s art associations by donating and volunteering. I hope to also return to college to finish my psychology degree, as I strive to use my strengths such as empathy and creativity to help others heal. I have a real desire to approach things hands-and-hearts-on in every aspect of my life.
