I create art to turn emotion into impact raising awareness for right whales and inspiring people to pause, connect, and care.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite form of art to create is scultpure making. I find the 3D aspect easier to comprehend, and it allows people to get multiple perspectives on the piece.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in wildlife conservation and the human impact on ecosystems. My work explores both the beauty and vulnerability of animals, aiming to spark awareness and empathy. Using found rope from a retired fisherman to form a right whale, I emphasize the species’ decline and the direct connection between human activity and marine life.
What would you do with $25,000?If I were awarded the $25,000, I would put it directly toward my education at the University of Maine. It would help cover tuition, housing, and other academic expenses, reducing financial stress and allowing me to focus more on my studies and creative work. This support would also help me grow my skills and prepare for a future in wildlife conservation and the arts.
