While the visual arts have always been a calling, my true love is the written word. Finding ways to harness the power of language—a universal commonality between all—in ways that capture intangible emotions so vivid to the point of physical sensation is one of the most freeing feelings I'd argue one could ever experience.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration from "you". My soul is a mosaic, composed of broken bits not only of myself, but shimmering fragments of every person I meet. There's something so fragile about how every single person has a story waiting to be told, no matter how mundane it must seem. There's little parts that make up the "mosaic of you", from the way you order your sentences to the way you like your pasta boiled, and each piece I collect creates a life that I made out of the people I share the world with.
What would you do with $25,000?I'd love to use the money to go to cosmetology school. It goes along with loving art and the people with whom I share my art. Helping others find more beauty in the world starts with finding the beauty that comes from within, and being able to bring out that light in people makes my light shine brighter too. And in the end that's what livings all about: loving the earth and sharing my love with all the people who inhabit it.
