My art is inspired by the species we share this planet with. I love making art of them to share with the world; it’s my love letter to them.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I love block printing, and it is my main form of art. I enjoy playing with it in all kinds of ways; layering it with cyanotype prints, making multi-coloured prints, and printing on all kinds of materials including fabric and handmade stickers. I like making my art accessible, and that means using all kinds of mediums!
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in nature and in the species we share this planet with. I am especially inspired by species that don’t get as much love- the small, the less known critters and plants that deserve just as much love. I also love to bring others’ characters to life for them, which I’ve included a few examples of as well.
What would you do with $25,000?If I won this contest, I would use the money to continue to make art, to raise awareness and funds to support species at risk and conservation efforts, and share art and knowledge about the natural world to as many people as I can. I also believe it is important to make art accessible to everyone- so I would use the money to remove barriers to access my art.
