Hello! My name is Spencer! My artist name is Chainlink ☆. It’s a pleasure to write here. I create music under the witch house genre!
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I do many varieties of art including sketch, digital photography, videography, clothing designs, and of course music. Music is my main outlet, predominantly in the underground Witch House scene. I love to mix sub genres, and be experimental in terms of sound. My music should make you feel something - nostalgia. I play creatively with theme of nostalgia throughout my discography. I invite you to a nightmarish dreamlike scape. A place familiar much like a childhood memory.
Where do you find inspiration? Most of my inspiration comes from personal experiences. Often inspired by horror movies soundscapes. My friends are a huge inspiration. Artists like Saint Judith (Caitlyn Althoff) is my childhood best friend. She is currently an industrial design student enrolled at MCAD. Voodoo Crystals, (Adam Santaniello) is another Witch House artist. I’m inspired by his beautiful sound design. I’m honored to have worked with the both of them, as featured artists on tracks of mine. I love them so much!!
What would you do with $25,000?As an artist, it can be quite difficult to focus on art. Life is quite challenging in terms of stability, bills, etc. I’d use my $25,000 to support myself, school, and give thanks to those who’ve believed in my hard work.
