I like to take what others consider useless or ugly and make them see the beauty in them.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Collage all the way, incorporated with vintage items, my own hacked-up oil paintings or drawings, art supplies a toddler would use...anything.
Where do you find inspiration? The goal is to not buy anything to make the art. Incorporate old pieces, shit from the yard, cut up a canvass and sew it back together. I like to make people borderline uncomfortable and confused, and then see the beauty in these things after having to be with it for a minute. Kind of like people.
What would you do with $25,000?I'd spend it all on my family. Fix up the house, go somewhere cool. My super cool husband and ultra amazing kids are my purpose in this world. I make sure my kids know they ARE art. We all are.
