Art is how I make sense of the world, and share its beauty, tension, and wonder.

I’m drawn to capturing the presence and spirit of animals through realism, then breaking that image open with expressive color, texture, and movement. It’s in that balance—between what is seen and what is felt—that the work comes alive, allowing each portrait to feel both familiar and untamed.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in wildlife and the quiet intensity of portraiture—watching how light hits fur, skin, and eyes, and how patterns repeat in nature. Color drives my work, often pulled from landscapes or unexpected bold combinations, while texture and layered marks help build depth and movement. I’m interested in the balance between what’s seen clearly and what’s felt, using abstraction to push beyond realism.
What would you do with $25,000?I’d use the $25,000 to secure a dedicated studio space where I can work larger and more consistently, and invest in high-quality materials and tools. It would allow me to expand my practice, experiment more freely, and develop a stronger, more focused body of work
