What is your favorite type of art to create?

I specialize in capturing the soul of my subjects through a multidisciplinary approach. My favorite work involves a deep dive into wildlife studies and evocative portraiture using acrylics. I also find immense fulfillment in the tactile nature of moose horn carving and wood burning. For me, the art is in the details—finding the spirit of the animal within the raw grain of wood or the complex textures of bone, and bringing that life forward for the viewer to experience.

Where do you find inspiration?

My inspiration is rooted in the healing power of the natural world. Art serves as my primary way to quiet the internal noise; it is a therapeutic bridge between the quiet resilience of wildlife and my own creative spirit. I find clarity in the intricate details of a wild form or the movement of light through the trees—moments of stillness that allow me to translate personal weight into external beauty.

What would you do with $25,000?

I would utilize the $25,000 to fund the production of a new, large-scale multidisciplinary collection. This would include securing premium raw materials, upgrading my studio technology to better integrate digital design, and investing in professional archiving. Ultimately, these funds would allow me to transition my work from local exhibits to a national stage and secure a new primary studio location on Vancouver to better suit the long-term growth of my art career.
