Creation is core to my survival, a way to make sense of chaos, both internal and external. It is a way to express my individual divinity.

As a multidisciplinary artist, I find that medium is less relevant than the messaging behind it. I paint, I draw, I use video, I use sound, and I try my best to find a way to incorporate these or create something that is more than the sum of its parts. I love the idea of being able to have zero boundaries, to let my mind flow, and to create something bigger than myself.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in knowing that one day I will die. I find inspiration in nature, in my day-to-day activities, and training myself to look for beauty in the most mundane places. I find inspiration in my relationship with my son, in my relationship with my 86-year-old mother, and in my existence on earth.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use this money to help take care of my family and to rebuild my studio. My apartment was destroyed in the Palisades fire, and my 86-year-old mother and I have been scraping by for the past year and a half. I would love to be able to build my studio and get it to a place where I can support my family.
