most makers settle into their favorite instruments. I believe artists naturally expand into varieties of “types” of art making dependent on what it is inside that needs to get out; it must get out. my favorite type of art is the type most aligned with that initial experimental vision/ creative explore. a healthy measure of ambiguity is critical to my target of conversation/ connection. I critique my own choice most from the lens of the conversation it may spawn between engaged strangers

I am humbled by the art that is wind in trees; a natural world (which I embrace as family I get to grow alongside-rise to set), …our capacity to love. I am obsessively called to capture/ record the brilliant opportunity of life. I feel inspired to ‘toss a pebble’ of my own into the pond and chase the ripples.. tuning to the life-long “rhythms of a village drum” calling me to accept my pulse wherever I am among the abundance of beauty in people, bold and serene, connected, layered and playing

art saved my life. I am so grateful for the gift of being supported. I would create a simple place to serve as a community art-cafe-incubator that could facilitate art making, therapy, creative experimenting, and good coffee. for those like me, juggling life not really knowing how art might fit into a healthy and happy future it is important that there are spaces where that quality time within can happen. I would create a place to share, breathe and grow into the art that we are.
