It is a sense of self. It creates peace in me. In a world so much in conflict, I can escape into a world of my creation. Pleasing to me.

I like to try anything that inspires me. An old home in the mountains, love painting birch trees. Reflections in water. A boat tied to an old dock. Beautiful flowers are an inspiration. I try to take my paintings just one step farther than the last. At 75 now and I am so much slower than I once was, I see much more beauty around me.
Where do you find inspiration?Life can be so tough, for everyone. I feel I must stop and see the beauty my God has created in this world. When I paint I get lost in the effort, seeing something come from a piece of white paper. I am blessed with this, so I must persue it. One color layering on another seeing the effect it creates half me and half chance. In a world that forgets we get old it is nice to be able to leave something of me behind. Inspiration comes from everywhere one just has to make the effort to see.
What would you do with $25,000?I am 75. It is difficult to go out and substitute teacher anymore. So if I was granted this money I would save it for things that pop up while still walking in the world. I would give some to the church and I would help someone else. It is a great opportunity to be generous, something I have always liked to do. What a blessing it would be, not just for me but many. Thank you for considering me. Feels good.
