Art is pure. You either connect or not. Creator's vision is up for interpretation. Creating art completes my soul.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I am evolving as an artist. I am a huge animal advocate, I love to paint animals, and then I incorporated elements from nature, such as leaves, sticks, and sand, to enhance my painting. My latest muse is fluid art, where I let the paint flow. I blend all these techniques into one and create what inspires me. Majestic animals and the beauty and elegance of a woman, mixed with earthy, fluid elements, are what I love the most.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration everywhere! I could walk by the sidewalk and see a street performer who would inspire me to paint. I live in NJ, surrounded by nature. I am privileged to see plenty of wildlife on my property, so I often paint them. My senses are on high alert when I visit galleries and museums because, almost always, something will speak to my soul, and I will dream of painting my vision.
What would you do with $25,000?For me, art serves a purpose. I have pledged to donate 25% of my proceeds to wildlife rehabilitation and protection. I also support several local animal shelters. So first and foremost, I will allocate 25% of the funds to the Donor Trust I established, which will continue to grow the money and donate to my favorite causes. Top of the list is Last Resort Animal Rescue. I believe in art giving back. I want to leave a legacy of creating an environment that supports art and giving.
