Abstract story telling. I like to do oil on canvas and I typically love creating 36 x 48 because it gives me the room to really create. It’s where I feel most free. I often start with an idea based on a situation, a story, pain or something I need to release that is still sitting in my spirit. But once I begin it transforms. It is a mix of symbology and literal translation of something that happened to me.
Where do you find inspiration? My life stories, pain and life contradictions. It’s become about my ingesting of life, my digesting the experiences, and at the end of the day how I choose to see the world that shapes the person that I am. People, experiences and observation of life is what shapes and inspires my paintings.
What would you do with $25,000?Rebuild my life after being financially and emotionally devastated after my ex-husband, left me after 20 years. My dad died and my business crashed all in 2025 along with my divorce. I’m rebuilding my life now and my creativity to paint is back. I’m telling my story through Art. Moving to a new state, Colorado, I need a snow car and this will help me buy it.
