It’s always been a way to slow my mind, and muffle my worries in a sense. It forces me to just focus on the moment, giving my brain a break.

Personally, I love painting and sculpting wildlife in various media. Birds are something I always find myself circling back to. I can’t really say why exactly I love to paint birds, but it always seems to make me the happiest. My favorite art to go see thought has to be narrative painting with a story. I love Norman Rockwells work. Specifically“The Shiner” and “Rosie the Riveter” which I get to see frequently due to it being housed at Crystal Bridges in my hometown.
Where do you find inspiration?I like to say I come from a family of artists. My nana and grandpa had a talent for wood working. My dad, is always able to create something out of nothing, and my mom recently picked up watercolors, and is filling the house full of beautiful compositions.
What would you do with $25,000?I would donate a portion of it to my art teacher Tania Knudsen and her studio. She gives her students a lot of creative freedom, while also forcing them out of their comfort zone so they can really improve on their techniques. I owe her and her studio a lot, and I feel like she would put the money to good use. For the rest of the money, I’ll have to get back to you on that cause I really have no clue.
