My art is about discovery, about stories, and about questioning. After looking at one of my pieces, the viewer should ask questions.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
It often changes, in the past it was acrylic. I loved the use of bold colors, I used to love the idea of bringing something that was ordinary into bright light. I have currently switched to watercolor. And now I love the mystery behind the softer colors. I love the questions that we can ask for the details that are unseen.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration were light bounces. I love to look at shadows and then compare the top and the bottom on the side and see how much light changes the shape of an object.
What would you do with $25,000?Not having that much money before in my sphere of influence, this brings an eye-opening opportunity! Not only could I finish my own studio, but I could invite other artists into it so we may have our own 'Group of Seven' or the 'Barcelona-Bohemian Group' (Picasso and friends). This could be the beginning of a new era of painting.
