Creating art is an emotional release for me, bringing forth images I was unaware existed. Sharing those creations with the world is a gift
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I love to create all different types of art. Oil, watercolor, pyrography, lately I love using a layered, mixed-media technique. It allows me to experiment with various textures and give up some control to the surface instead of working so hard to make the paint do exactly what I want
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration all around. It's not hard to find if you pay attention. Nature inspired me daily. I have a huge live of the desert and Southwest region of the United States. There is something truly beautiful about the vast open areas and the solitude found there. I always come back from a trip energized and ready to paint
What would you do with $25,000?I would invest in my art business. I definitely want to do some traveling to Montana, Northern Utah and Wyoming. These are regions I haven't explored yet. I think there is some good art to be made from there
