I am a realist artist with classical training, inspired by the great European masters. In my childhood, I discovered a love for nature and animals. Realism is the technique that best represents me in conveying my figurative art. When viewers see my paintings in person, many say they feel alive, as if they come off the canvas, and I take that as a compliment.

I find it in nature in general, in the beauty of living beings. I paint in oil because it is the most noble medium to create images full of sensitivity, strength, and expression. Through color, light, and shadow, I seek to create a particular atmosphere in each painting, drawing the viewer in and encouraging reflection on different aspects of the world we live in.

The prize would be used to invest in my studio and continue growing as an artist. I donate artworks to raise funds for NGOs dedicated to wildlife rescue and conservation, as well as to rescuing stolen horses that are mistreated and exploited. This prize would allow me to collaborate more with these organizations. I would also travel to see masterpieces by artists who inspire me, such as Caravaggio, among others, and continue exploring different countries, their people and their cultures.
