I started creating art after my father died and then while I was my mother’s caregiver as a way to escape the feeling of depression.

I’m not sure I have a favorite type or medium. I love to sketch, paint, mold, color, photograph.. I always try new things. I see what others are doing and try their techniques I’ve never taken an art class and I guess it’s my way to learn. I’ve become more confident after each “lesson” and it pushes me to try other things.. to learn more! And I simply can’t get enough! Both of my children are very artistic and have been eager to help teach me more!
Where do you find inspiration?So much of what I’ve created has reflected specific moments and memories of my life. Memories of my childhood.. feelings of loneliness.. grieving my parents.. the joy of my children.. the fear and excitement of sobriety.. the disappointment of relapse.. I am a literal rollercoaster of emotions! My inspiration comes from the highs and lows of these emotions!
What would you do with $25,000?I have 2 children.. 1 just turned 28 and I would love to help host a beautiful wedding for her. The other is graduating high school soon and deserves a wonderful party and some help with college. I will celebrate both of them! They are amazing kids and deserve grand special moments!
