I love expressive portraiture and scenes that blend realism with abstraction. Capturing people in unposed, everyday moments—allowing gesture, color, and movement truly means Capturing Beauty, which is what I am for every time. I have been painting all my life, working in many mediums, honestly the feel pf paint as it glides thru the canvas creating a picture is my favorite thing in the world.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in human connection, everyday moments, and the beauty found in ordinary life. I am especially influenced by the Caribbean—the light, color, rhythm, and people there. Culture and observing people in their natural unguarded states brings me inspiration. I also enjoy the emotional response color can evoke, often using unexpected palettes to express feeling rather than reality.
What would you do with $25,000?I would dedicate time to developing a larger, more cohesive body of work that expands the scale and depth of my practice. I would invest in materials and studio resources that allow me to create more ambitious pieces giving me the freedom to experiment without the constraints of commission-based timelines. This would be an opportunity to push my work further—exploring new surfaces, larger formats, and more immersive compositions. The thought of this is all very exciting!
