Recently I have found happiness on the wheel but my favorite pottery are my hand built sea turtle sculptures
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration from the South Carolina coast where I grew up. I often dig for marine clay and filter it out to make sculptures of sea turtles that come to these beaches to nest every year. I choose glazes that reflect the ocean blues, greens and turquoise.
What would you do with $25,000?I plan to update my studio so that I can begin teaching pottery lessons for my community. I will need to purchase a pug mill to reclaim clay. I need a new space to rent that allows enough space for students. I will need to purchase new glazes, tools and clay.
