I love making art because it is the truest form of expression. The feeling of representing myself through color and shape is unmatched.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
This is my favorite type of art to create—abstract paintings that mix bold color, layered depth, and expressive brushstrokes. Each piece builds through intuitive marks, where shapes overlap and move, creating a sense of energy and flow. There’s a balance between structure and spontaneity, giving the work a lively, emotional feel that invites the eye to explore.
Where do you find inspiration? My inspiration is rooted in life experiences and the everyday moments that shape me, especially time with my family and my two sons. Their energy, curiosity, and connection show up in my work through movement, color, and emotion. Each piece reflects those layers of life—joy, chaos, growth—captured in an abstract, expressive way.
What would you do with $25,000?If I were to win the $25,000, I would use it to pay down my student loans from my art degree, easing a major financial burden. I would also set aside funds toward a home, giving my family more space to grow. Most importantly, I’d create a dedicated studio, allowing me to expand my work and bring larger, more immersive pieces to life.
