Two eyes a nose and a mouth and EVERYONE looks different! It fascinates me and to create portraits in cardboard is even better.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Portraits - again people's faces.
Where do you find inspiration?I really enjoy watching people on the Metro or out at coffee 'people watching' - all the variations of the same feature; how the muscles move under the skin with each expressions. Also the variations that the different cultures/ethnicities create in faces is interesting as well. We are all the same AND different. Pretty remarkable.
What would you do with $25,000?It would be used for 3 purposes: 1. Business expansion, 2. Enhancing my skills, and 3. Financial stability. I'd grow my art business, especially expanding to prints and note cards (for those who do not have an original piece, but enjoy the art). I'd use it to open new doors to shows and partnerships. Also, as a self-taught artist, I would take some portraiture classes at 'PAFA' in Philadelphia, and at London's 'City Lit' in Covent Gardens. Finally, to maintain a financial cushion.
