Creating is the only time when I can release my need for control. What the art is, is what it's supposed to be. No wrong answers.

I love creating my conceptual makeup. My best pieces normally have a lot of emotion tied to the inspiration. I pull from that emotion and create on the spot (normally live streaming the process). It’s actually quite scary. Every time I’m afraid it won’t turn out good, and every time I surprise myself at how much better it is than my vision. Live streaming it taught me that just because people are watching doesn’t mean I have to perform. My process is art in itself, and it is what it is.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in plants, paintings, whatever I see that looks interesting and myself. As typical and vain as that may sound, right now I am in a very introspective time in my life where I’m constantly asking myself “who am I?”, “how did I get here?”, and “ where am I going?” I try to break down those questions into more manageable concepts, and I paint the answers in whatever symbolic or literal way I may think of. That’s the best way I can explain it.
