I make art that is a combination of paint and collage; mixed medium using patterns, bold colour and texture. I combine iconic imagery with the everyday, creating social commentary from ancient history through to modern day.
Where do you find inspiration?I was born into a bohemian family of artists. In the 50's I watched my older siblings jive to Elvis Presley and in the 60's I was heavily influenced by the revolutionary politics, personalities, music, fashion, film and art of Andy Warhol, The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Aretha Franklin, Jimi Hendrix and Bob Dylan. This led to my career as a high fashion model, actress, writer, and now, visual artist. I did it all while raising my 6 children.
What would you do with $25,000?I would like to turn it into $250,000 which I would then turn into $250,000,000 and build a community of inclusion where bohemian families can raise healthy children.
