My art became my way of transforming energy into love, healing, and meditation. Each piece represents connection & resilience.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite art to create is weaving. I also love to dance, I figured out a way that I can weave and dance at the same time so at least I can move while I work :) -I took the concept of a DIY bracelet and transformed it into a textile using chains, woven with strips of fabric. I create handbags, clothing, accessories, home décor, and even lamps. It feels like my unique contribution to the world because it’s original, something I developed into my own signature art form to create with.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration really anywhere and everywhere! I used to buy lots of magazines, now it’s more Pinterest, the internet, history, everyday life, like the colors in nature, photography, fashion forecasting, the trends. I even come across inspiration in the trials and errors of the creative process. I stay open to the messages; inspiration is everywhere, second hand shops, antiques, street style, my own collections of things accessories, textures, traveling and so many different cultures.
What would you do with $25,000?I’d invest it directly into growing my business—take the best, improve production, and build a team of skilled people who deserve to be paid well for their talent. I believe in creating jobs, not just products. I’ve worked hard to keep my business rooted in “Made in America,” even when it would have been easier and cheaper to outsource overseas. This opportunity would help me scale the right way—with quality and integrity. Aim to perfect the Made in the USA unique handmade product.
