I love shooting portraits because its deeper than just "Taking pictures" It feels like a mix of psychology, connection, and story telling.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Portrait photography; it lets me capture people in a way that feels honest and a little more seen than they expect. Finding what emotions people are stuffing deep inside their soul and pulling it out while making a photograph is beyond rewarding.
Where do you find inspiration?I’m constantly inspired by photographers who push the craft further than I have; it keeps me growing. I’ve been at this for over 20 years, and a big part of that comes from something my dad always told me: “keep going.” I’ve carried that with me through every challenge, and it’s shaped how I approach both my work and my progress.
What would you do with $25,000?Easy!! I’d buy a Hassleblad
