Art making is as important and natural as breathing to me. I feel incomplete and anxious if I am not regularly creating in some form.

I make oil paintings and handmade jewelry and sculptures . My paintings are often mixed media and incorporate bold colors with graphic line quality. Jewelry is playful and an experiment in pushing boundaries for the materials. I enjoy welding and casting for my sculptures.
Where do you find inspiration?Nature, I grew up in rural Alaska and it has largely influenced the work I create.
What would you do with $25,000?I am interested in attending some workshops and traveling to see more museums and galleries as Alaska is rather sparse for either of those venues.
