When I am in the studio creating it is a welcome distraction to the world events. I love being in my own headspace.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art is anything involving clay. Just creating with my hands and where they guide me.
Where do you find inspiration? In 2008 my sister was diagnosed with breast cancer. We spent quite a bit of time together while she was going through her treatments. She has a small studio and introduced me to pottery and I instantly fell in love. Little did I know, a year and a half later I would be diagnosed with breast cancer. There are so many bumps, roadblocks, etc that us as individuals go through. Rather than letting these setbacks knock me down, I turned mine into creating art.
What would you do with $25,000?Make necessary upgrades in my pottery studio, buy supplies (as the price of clay/glaze/tools has increased dramatically since 2020). Would love to visit the Louvre.
