I love to create art because it helps me translate the joy I feel, especially when observing flowers, into something others can experience!
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Floral art! I work in watercolor, acrylic, and oil, blending realism with expressive choices in scale and composition. As both an artist and a teacher, I’m inspired by the bold, imaginative perspective of children, which reflects the natural way flowers grow- vibrant, expressive, and unapologetically alive.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration anywhere flowers appear; on runs, walks, and hikes, in a neighbor’s yard, in a grocery store bouquet, or even a dandelion pushing through a crack in the sidewalk. It all catches my eye; it’s all fair game!
What would you do with $25,000?With the $25,000 prize, I would expand my studio practice, invest in materials, and create more opportunities for young students to engage with art, helping foster creativity, confidence, and a lifelong connection to making, as that was something I wished was available to me when I was a child.
