Art has been in my life ever since I was born. I lf I am feeling down, I know I can always turn to art to heal or express myself
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite art to create currently is dance (heels and pole) and music. I enjoy the fluidity in movement, and watching the lines of my body create art. Music and dance go hand in hand. I enjoy altering and shifting the tones of my voice. Training my body more and tuning some of the fine details has been what I have been working on and enjoying. The art is extremely versatile, it is amazing I can create this type of art in any space and time.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in singers such as Lana del Rey, Jhene Aiko, Lisa Manoban, FKA Twigs and various afrobeats artists as well. Mandarin singers such as Isabelle Huang, WangOK, Juggshots, OZI and KarenCici inspire me as well. In terms of dance, I am inspired by Leez, Bengbeng, Shivawn Joubert, Amy Zhang an Baby Rain. My style is rooted in afrobeats, conceptual, multfaceted, alternative and feminine commercial style
What would you do with $25,000?I would use the money to create more art and help with marketing and production. Currently the hardest barrier for me is to promote my art, and create higher quality media to portray it. I would use it to fund a new project and promote it professionaly which can hopefully take my artistry to another level.
