What is your favorite type of art to create?

I’m very drawn to pointillism creations that don’t stay as one thing. Worlds that shift; where a figure can become space, a body can become a place, where you and I stop feeling separate. Built slowly, dot by dot, like something forming itself. It feels less like I’m making it, more like I’m watching it become. Or remembering it. Maybe it was always there, and maybe I’m just meeting it. In these worlds Fairytale becomes one with the complexity of human existence.

Where do you find inspiration?

I find inspiration in the impossibility of defining anything as one thing. Existence is constant becoming -layer over layer, meaning forming and dissolving at once. Everything feels made of the same substance, briefly taking shape. My work is not separate from me, and in that, it becomes an extension of you too. I’m drawn to the tension between knowing and not knowing, and to the possibility that by allowing it all, we might begin to see what we are.. or that there was never a fixed “we” at all.

What would you do with $25,000?

I would begin building something rooted in intention; an organization for world-bettering, where people grow, create, and live in ways that contribute beyond themselves. I believe everything we do is an input into the world, so we must become more aware, more present, and more responsible for what we bring into it. Art would be part of it, because it is not separate from existence. My goal is to help people unite, realize we are not separate, and begin living in a more conscious, connected way.
