Connect What is your favorite type of art to create?

If pop art and abstract art had a baby, you might find my artwork there. Art to me is vibrant, colorful, abstract but also realistic… layered, textured, meaningful but also playful. I want my art to spark conversation. I want to create one of a kind pieces that tell a story. I want to inspire. That is always my goal when I pick up a paint brush - storytelling in the most colorful, chaotic way.

Where do you find inspiration?

Art has always been a part of who I am. Since I was a little girl, I have always been drawn to it. Inspiration for me? It’s everywhere. In the quiet mundane moments, in the loud celebratory milestones, and in every tiny crevice in between. To me, the beauty of art is that a million different people can view the same painting and see a million different stories, feel a million different emotions and experience a million different things - and that in itself is remarkable.

What would you do with $25,000?

I am my most proud when I get the privilege to paint, & I hope to experience that privilege for the rest of my days. With $25k, I will continue painting, creating, sharing, exploring & immersing myself into the magical world of art. How lucky am I to have this outlet where I can fully express myself without fear, hesitation, doubt or judgment. All I can hope & dream for is the ability to share my art with the world. The feeling of connecting with people through my art, that feeling is limitless.
