I create for creation’s sake—ambiguous, bold, cryptic paintings that express the chaos and calm within my mind, inviting interpretation.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I am drawn to painting. Whether layered with unexpected materials or left to breathe on a bare canvas, each piece is a conversation between texture, color, and feeling.
Where do you find inspiration?“An artist's duty, as far as I'm concerned, is to reflect the times” That quote from Nina Simone hums at the center of everything I create. I reflect not only the times we share as a collective, but what I carry alone— moments of clarity, of chaos, of becoming. My inspiration is a meeting place of inner truth and outer reality forever changing, just like the times themselves.
What would you do with $25,000?With $25,000 I would put it towards a studio, a sanctuary for creation. A space where I could both work in to support myself and the youth and expand my artistic career. It’ll allow me the space to grow and explore more ways to create.
