My primary focus is multi-dimensional fine art that challenges the viewer's perception. I build heavy textures using acrylics, finishing them with high-gloss resin, gold foil, and phosphorescent pigments. This alters my work depending on the lighting environment, shifting from striking daytime centerpieces to glowing, ethereal works at night. I also enjoy translating this bold, tactile aesthetic into functional art through custom sneaker and apparel design.
Where do you find inspiration?I draw deep inspiration from the concept of origins, exploring how personal histories anchor us. My process leans heavily towards the surreal, with all works beginning with the eyes... I am fascinated by the most minute details, where I can get lost, and I constantly strive to merge this historical weight with contemporary, luminous energy to create a bridge between the physical and the ethereal.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use the funds to scale up in order to prepare for my upcoming solo exhibition, along with future opportunities. It would allow me to invest in more premium materials to create larger, more ambitious multi-dimensional pieces. Additionally, the grant would help cover framing, logistics, and dedicated studio time, giving me the freedom to push the boundaries beyond anything I've done so far.
